Our creative director, Erin has achieved the complex Wella Master Colour programme in London. It was an intense nine months of travelling and training but it has given her the chance to learn from some of the best in the industry and gain a prestigious Wella qualification.
During the training, Erin followed a four step programme which ended with final exams in theory and practical work. The theory exam covered the science aspect in relation to the products, including choice, application and technique. The practical exam was designed to prove that the expected level of knowledge, related to complex colour correction, had been achieved and that on the spot decisions were based on the theory behind the practice. The pass rate was an overall grade of 85% but Erin achieved higher marks for both examinations with a 92% pass for the theory exam and a 93% pass for the practical.
Erin is now one of a select few in the South West who holds the Wella Master Colourist title. She said ‘I’m so proud to have had the opportunity to work with the highly talented people at Wella. The amount of training and knowledge that was being passed on to me at Stage one, blew my mind and I never thought I would remember it all, but after a short while I settled into the training and started to really enjoy every aspect of the programme. It was brilliant to have the opportunity to use all my current skills as well as learning so many new ones.’
Erin one year later has said ‘I have gained and experienced new trends and techniques in colouring. I have built a great clientele, who love to indulge in the couture salon experience, but will forever welcome new clients’.
